About the Course
The main thrust of the course is to enable participants to understand the process of bottling and packaging water for quality management. The module will focus on the treatment process for water from various sources, and the associated World Health Organization (WHO) Standards and other Regional and National quality standards for bottled drinking water.
The module will also focus on various legal requirements including the regulatory requirements and the implications in-terms of water safety and compliance.
The module will also look at water packaging and processing as source of income generation, for the youth and other entrepreneurs, while at the same time improving access to safe drinking water. An appropriate costing model shall be elaborated as part of the process.
Site exposure visits for practical learning is covered to give first hand practical experiences.

- To Improve the quality of bottled water offered particularly by the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMES).
- Be able to formulate water bottling and packaging Strategic Business Plans
